Credit Repair and Credit Debt
Christopher Wright asked:
If you’re serious about doing any credit repair, then getting control of your credit debt is a must. You can accomplish this one of two ways, on your own or with the assistance of a professional firm.
Interest is a major contributing factor for people’s enormous credit debt. The interest charges add on to your credit card debt each month to form the new balance or the new credit card debt amount. If you continue making partial payments (or no payments) the interest charges are calculated afresh on the new credit card debt. What initially begins as a small amount, soon and silently balloons into an enormous credit monster.
Reducing credit card debt from the technical aspect for starters, if you have a high interest credit card, you may consider transferring the balance to a low interest card or even stop using your credit card. Reducing credit card debt in general is not easy and requires sacrifices. You will need to change your spending habits. Reduce your monthly expenses, don’t eat out, stop spending money on new clothes and in general don’t purchase anything you can’t really afford.
Maybe you’re not the type of person who can devise a plan and more importantly, stick with the plan. If you don’t follow through, then it doesn’t matter how good of a plan you have it will never work. Or it could be a matter of time constraints. There are only 24hrs in a day, outsourcing your credit repair activities may be the best answer in your situation.
